The Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) are administered by guardians enrolling students for Kindergarten as part of the Kansas State Department of Education's Kindergarten Readiness initiative. This is a component of the enrollment process completed by parents with available support of district staff.
The purpose of the Quick Phonics Screener (QPS) is to provide informal diagnostic information that can be used to help plan a student's instructional program in basic word reading skills, and monitor the progress or improvement in phonics skill development. This assessment is given to elementary aged children (K-3) until they show mastery of all skills.
FastBridge Assessment Platform
FastBridge is the district's screening assessment platform encompassing K-12 valid and reliable screeners in the area of Reading, Math, and Social-Emotional Behavior. Academic screeners are administered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring with progress monitoring completed for identified students while Social-Emotional Screeners (SAEBRS) are administered twice per year with possible progress monitoring. FastBridge aligns to the state's Structured Literacy/Struggling Readers Initiative and is used as part of the district's tiered systems of support as well as other required student growth monitoring requirements.

FastBridge is accessed through your student's Clever account. Assessments should only be accessed/taken while at school under the supervision of district staff to ensure reliable and accurate data.
The Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) represents the required Kansas State Assessments. State Assessments are given in the following areas:
General KAP - ELA/Reading, Mathematics, History/Government/Social Studies, and Science
DLM - Dynamic Learning Maps - alternate state assessment for students who qualify based on the student's IEP
KELPA - Kansas English Language Proficiency Assessment
KAP Interim/Mini Tests - practice assessments that may be administered by staff to help students prepare for state assessments and to help gauge mastery of state standards
Includes information related to understanding your student's scores, Kansas Standards, and the KITE Parent Portal to access your child's scores
Kansas State Assessments are generally accessed through the secure KITE platform which is rostered and managed by the Kansas State Department of Education/University of Kansas.

If selected, Leavenworth Public Schools participates in the National Assessment of Educational Progress. This is also known as "The Nation's Report Card."

Please note each building, depending on the assessment, may have the ability to set their own testing times and dates within a given window or set of testing options. As well, some windows/testing dates may not be required for a given school, grade, or set of students.
