If that option is not feasible financially, you may also consider contacting a local university, where you can find professionals-in-training (college music students). These students are well-qualified to teach fundamental and developing music skills and have their clearances to work with children. Many young band students in the area have experienced significant musical growth while taking lessons with local college musicians.
