To me, literature is about questions and answers. Sometimes I find that a piece of literature somehow answers a question that has been plaguing me; other times I find that literature causes me to ask questions of myself, my values, and the world around me. What I love about reading is that each time I read a piece, it can do either of these - I am a different person each time I read, and therefore, my reaction to and what I can receive from a piece changes. In class, I hope that our discussions will allow you to find questions and answers in our literature and yourself. I hope we can learn and grow together.
