Bark Beetle Workshop November 15th

Since the Hermit's Peak / Calf Canyon fire, we have seen lots of beetle activity in our forests. The upcoming bark beetle workshop on Nov 15 at the Sierra Bonita Volunteer Fire Dept will cover the basics on bark beetle ecology, including some samples of bark beetle damage and the beetles themselves (plus other common beetles in our forests). There will also be a short field portion (within walking distance) to look for beetles in trees.
