School Counselor Role
Each student will be assigned to a School Counselor whose primary concern is:
To assess a student's academic and vocational strengths and weaknesses.
To help a student understand themselves and others.
To offer counseling and assistance in any area needed.
To provide information and knowledge regarding educational and occupational resources.
To place students in the appropriate programs with the assistance of administration and teachers.
To refer students to proper sources for help.
To provide feedback to school staff on referral recommendations and follow-up procedures.Â
