The Peer Tutoring Club is designed for 7th and 8th-grade students who demonstrate strong performance in mathematics. These student tutors are paired with 6th-grade students to help them better understand the math curriculum through regular tutoring sessions held during the second half of lunch, two to three times a week. This structured support allows students to build confidence and improve their math skills in a comfortable, peer-led environment.
Additionally, all tutors participate in a monthly after-school Peer Tutoring Meeting, where they review tutoring logs, cover sixth-grade math topics, play math-related games, and discuss any concerns. The club fosters leadership, collaboration, and academic growth for both tutors and their peers.
