Question: How do we start the process of getting referred to the Academy?
Answer: Any parent or student can speak with their Guidance Counselor, Assistant Principal or Social Worker about interest in finding out more about the Academy Program.
Question: Who has the ability to attend the Academy?
Answer: The Academy is open to any student in grades 7th-12th.
Question: Is the school curriculum different at the Academy?
Answer: The Lindenhurst Academy follows the same curriculum as the middle school and high school. Every student at the Academy has the opportunity to work towards graduating with a regents diploma.
Question: Does the Academy have a Special Education program?
Answer: Our school is a general education program with a Resource room component.
Question: Where is the Academy located?
Answer: Our program is located within the E.W Bower Building (Second Floor) at 315 West Montauk Highway, Lindenhurst, NY.
Question: Am I able to see the school before attending/enrolling?
Answer: Yes, tours are available upon appointment. You can call the Main Office at 631-867-3077.
Question: What are the school hours?
Answer: The Academy follows the High School bell schedule (7:28am-2:05pm) however, starting time varies based on students grade level and/or required credits.

Answer: If you answered "Yes" to any of the statements below, this school might be the best option for you!
