We learned about adjectives in reading! The students were given the challenge of describing their teacher! They had to look at all the things they could notice and we wrote them down on post it notes and stuck them on.

We went out and checked out the harvest from the school garden!

To finish up our science unit on space, we went out with a bang! We created a baking soda bottle rocket and watched it go!

Just to be safe, I had the students get behind the "ga-ga" pit fence. It just happened to be the perfect barrier for our rocket experiment.

Our first rocket was more of a fizzle than a bang, with the main excitement being that it blew up a bit early and spooked me before I could dash away!

After the first fizzler of a rocket, we decided to go back to the start and retry our rocket after making a few changes. Our second attempt was much more successful with our rocket flying approximately 10-15 feet!

The students worked with partners to make spider climbers! They got to take turns being the spider and being the fly.

The kids had the chance to explore different animal pelts.

The students did an outdoor scavenger hunt around the meadows. They had to find different things in nature that matched the color swatches on their hunt page.

The kids all enjoyed being outside exploring...some more than others :)
