As a volunteer-based organization, the Lucas PTO depends on the support and active engagement of its parents to make a positive impact on the students, administration, and faculty at Lucas Middle School. One of the best ways to support your student is to be an active PTO member and a great way of doing so is to serve on the Lucas PTO Board.
The Lucas PTO Board is comprised of the following leadership positions:
Objectives: Coordinate the efforts of the PTO and serve as a direct liaison to the school administration.
Objectives: Support the coordination of the PTO Board and organization (wear many hats and fill in gaps as needed).
Objectives: Maintain and provide reports on the finances of the PTO.
Objectives: Maintain membership rosters. Communicate meeting minutes and announcements to PTO membership.
Objectives: Chair working groups as needed (eg Apparel, Teacher Appreciation, Parent Rep for School Improvement)
These are just a few of the wonderful opportunities for parents to be involved in making Lucas the best place for their student. The Lucas PTO strives to be an inviting arena for parents to make a positive impact and have a supportive environment who share similar wishes for the school.
