There are 3 ways to obtain an instrument.
Buy your own instrument.
Rent your own instrument (Suggested Option).
Rent from the school.
Please do not purchase instruments from Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, or similar sites. These instruments are often low quality, difficult to play, and may not stay in tune, which can hinder a student’s progress. They also typically lack proper setup, warranties, and repair support that reputable music stores provide.
For instrument rentals, many music stores offer a “rent-to-own” program. This means the money you pay in rental fees can be applied toward purchasing the instrument if you choose to keep it. Rentals also provide flexibility, allowing students to exchange for the correct size as they grow.
If you would like to buy your own/rent instrument, please visit a local music store or contact Ms. Pajarillo for website recommendations.
School instruments are available for student use with a $60 Instrument Usage Fee, which helps support maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the instruments throughout the year. These instruments are intended to ensure that all students have access to a quality instrument so they can fully participate in orchestra.
Priority is given to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch or who may have difficulty obtaining an instrument from a music store rental, helping ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent participation.
