Butterfly ecology course

Our school has a complete and sustainable butterfly garden which serves as an outdoor learning classroom, enables experiential learning, and integrates life education, butterfly ecology teaching, and campus natural trail teaching. This is quite a unique part of our school-based curriculum.

US-Taiwan Eco Campus 

Longtan Elementary School has chosen the ecological learning pathway of "consumption and waste", whereby action teams of self-directed student teams, faculty and staff, parents and community members implement Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle through campus campaigns. In 2016 our school received a Bronze Certification as an ecological campus under the US-Taiwan Eco-Campus Partnership Program.
