Create a 2-color bookmark in Tinkercad and print it on the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2.
Open a new Tinkercad design.
Drag in a Box.
Set it to:
140 mm long
35 mm wide
2 mm tall
This is the bookmark base.
Drag in a Text shape.
Type a word or name.
Set the text height to 1 mm.
Move the text on top of the bookmark.
Set the text height from the workplane to 2 mm so it sits on top.
Important: Do not group the text and bookmark together.
You should have:
1 bookmark base
1 text object
Select both objects.
Click Export.
Choose OBJ.
Do not use STL. OBJ keeps the parts separate for multiple colors.
Import the OBJ file.
Choose “one object with multiple parts” if asked.
Assign one filament color to the bookmark.
Assign a second filament color to the text.
Example:
Blue bookmark
White text
Use:
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 10%
No supports
PLA filament
Print the bookmark flat on the build plate.
Load both filament colors into the CC2.
Slice the file.
Preview to make sure the text is a different color.
Start the print.
Everything is one color:
You grouped the objects or exported as STL.
Text disappears:
Make the text larger or thicker.
Text is floating:
Make sure the bottom of the text is exactly 2 mm from the workplane.
Bookmark will not stick:
Add a brim and clean the build plate.
