The Lake Superior Village Youth & Family Center Before School Program provides a safe, calm, and supportive place for youth ages 5–17 to start their day on a positive note. Designed for families who need early morning support, the program runs Monday through Friday from 7:00–8:45 AM and is free for all participants.
Each morning, youth are welcomed into a warm environment where they can enjoy a healthy snack, receive homework help or tutoring, and participate in quiet games or group activities that promote positive social interaction. Whether a child needs extra academic support, a peaceful space to read, or time to connect with peers before school, our program meets them where they are.
For families, the Before School Program offers peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, supervised, and nurturing space before school begins. Staff ensure students are supported emotionally and academically and are safely guided to their designated school buses each morning—helping families start the day with confidence and ease.
