Who We are
Lake Superior Village Youth & Family Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth ages 5–17 and their families in our community. We provide a safe, inclusive, and caring environment where young people can learn, grow, build confidence, and access meaningful opportunities.
Our programs, meals, and events are offered completely free, thanks to the generous support of donors, grants, and community sponsors. Together, we help ensure that every child—regardless of background—has a place to feel valued, supported, and inspired.

At Lake Superior Village Youth & Family Center, our story begins with a simple belief: every child deserves a place where they feel safe, supported, and seen. For years, families in our neighborhood have walked through our doors looking not just for programs, but for connection, nourishment, and hope.
What began as a small gathering space has grown into a vibrant community hub where youth ages 5–17 come to learn, play, explore new possibilities, and build lasting friendships. Here, children find warm meals, helping hands, creative projects, and caring adults who cheer for them every step of the way. Families find encouragement, resources, and a sense of belonging.
Our center is shaped by the neighborhood itself—by the voices, dreams, and strengths of the young people who fill our rooms every day. Their laughter, curiosity, and resilience are the heartbeat of everything we do.
Thanks to generous community support, all of our programs remain free and accessible, ensuring that every child has the chance to grow, discover, and succeed. Together, we’re building a place where possibility lives—and where every young person knows they matter.
