The Northern Stars are an elite dance team comprised of young dancers who are advanced in technical and artistic training.  The team is chosen during auditions held in March/April. The team performs during football, volleyball, soccer and basketball games.  The Northern Stars also perform at community events and participate in the annual Mr. Bronco contest.   The Stars compete at regional competitions across the state and compete every February at the Missouri State Dance Team Championships. In 2024, the Stars competed at the Missouri State Dance Team Championships placing 1st in Mix, 3rd in Jazz. In 2024, the stars competed nationally at the Dance Team Union Nationals in Orlando, FL.  The team Placed 5th in Team Performances and 5th in Jazz.  The Northern Stars host the Lee's Summit North Dance Invitational every January.  The 2025 Invitational will be the 28th Annual Regional Competition that Lee's Summit North has hosted.
