Stephens Elementary School, named in honor of Mrs. Charlotte Andrew Stephens, commenced its educational journey in January 2000. The school is located at 3700 W 18th Street, Little Rock, AR. Situated within the urban vicinity near the Arkansas State Capitol, Stephens School is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of services with a primary emphasis on nurturing academic achievement for students ranging from Pre-3 through 5th grade.

School-Based Health Clinic:
- The school-based health clinic serves approximately 431 students and their families.
- Services provided include physicals, Eczema and Asthma Action Plans, and well-care visits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for enrolled students.
- Clinic staff collaborates with behavioral health agencies, the school counselor, social worker, and administration to provide behavioral health referrals to students.
Financial Literacy:
- Stephens promotes financial literacy among students through STAR (Safe, Thoughtful, Accountable, Respectful) incentives tied to academic goal achievement.
- Students earn incentives, redeemable at the school's Star Bucks Store, Barber shop, Nail shop, School Theater, or Arcade, to learn about economics, decision-making, financial responsibilities, and social and emotional development.
- A partnership with First Security Bank allows students to start their saving accounts in the Penny Pockets Kids Club, imparting essential lessons and hosting fun events.
Technology and Educational Components:
- Stephens boasts modern technology, including computers in classrooms, a 28-station Computer lab, Distance Learning Lab, and a Cyber Time & Space Travel Theater with a Comparative City Studies Center.

Instructional Support and Gifted Program:
- An Instructional Facilitator has enhanced the school's book room with additional resources to support teachers, including coding and programs like Foundation, Haggerty, Lexia CORE 5, Wit & Wisdom, Leader-In-Me, Interventions, NWEA MAP Skills, Reflex Math, and Myon.

Our Community Site School Coordinator brings extensive expertise in navigating state and federal programs and holds a tenured position within the Little Rock District.
