Meet the Staff

Morgan Loftus

Morgan Loftus (Editor-In-Chief) is a senior at Seneca and is so excited to step into the role of editor this year! She joined the Bird's Eye View as a staff writer in her sophomore year. Aside from the newspaper, Morgan is president of ASL Club, on the Debate Team, an ADL Peer Trainer, a member of NHS, and Seneca Theater. Outside of school, she has been attending a theater company in Haddonfield since sixth grade. Morgan also loves spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts, and traveling. She hopes to go to college in New York City or Los Angeles and work in the music industry (hopefully in music journalism!)

 Mason Craig

Mason Craig is a sophomore at Seneca High School and is from Tabernacle, New Jersey. In school, Mason participates in many clubs, such as Debate Club, World Affairs Council, and History Club. He got into writing because his mother is a teacher. Outside of school, Mason enjoys playing and watching sports, his favorite being baseball. Mason is a die-hard Philadelphia sports and Penn State University fan. In the future, Mason hopes to have a job in politics. In the beginning, Mason was nervous about joining the newspaper. However, he found it to be very interesting and fun, pretty much as soon as he began to write his first article. Mason likes to spend time with friends and family, especially at the beach.

Ava Persing

Ava Persing is a senior at Seneca High School. She has been involved in Newspaper Club for the past two years. She’s also a part of GIA, Winter & Spring Track, Marching Band, National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, and the Tri-M Music Honors Society. She lives with her parents, younger brother, and two younger sisters. Ava wants to go to college for Environmental Engineering, but has always enjoyed reading and writing in any free time she has. Ava also enjoys driving and cooking. If you come across her in the hallways, she is most likely doing work for one AP class or another.

Keane Black

Keane Black is a sophomore at Seneca High School. He participates in many clubs like the Marching Band, Drama, Jazz Band, ASL Club, Gaming Club, and Cinema Appreciation Society. When Keane is not being awesome at school, or at home, Keane plays a variety of instruments including bass, piano, banjo, and accordion…oh yes you hear that right, Keane Black plays accordion…line up ladies. He also enjoys a film or two. Keane is excited to join the newspaper staff at Seneca High School and share his thoughts.

Bella Fischetti

Isabella Fischetti is an aspiring student of many careers, one being writing, which she is particularly passionate about. She loves to come up with fictional stories, especially based on the games and shows she consumes content of, but she's also down with writing other articles, particularly lists. Bella was in the Newspaper Club of her previous school, Southampton Township Schools, and so she was excited to come to Seneca High School and find that there was a similar group here! She hopes to write many things for many editions for her final years here!

Aiyana Gonzalez

Aiyana is a sophomore at Seneca High School. She is from Rahway, NJ and just recently moved to Southampton her freshman year. She doesn’t only participate in the newspaper, but also in Girls’ Cross Country, GIA, and Yearbook. Aiyana never thought about writing as a fun thing, but after 8th grade, it grew on her. She has four siblings—three sisters and one brother. Aiyana has a strong passion for traveling, and whenever she gets the chance she plans on visiting most of the U.S. and Europe. She loves baking, babysitting, and binge-watching series or movies. Her dream is to go to Stanford University or Harvard. She hopes to be a pediatrician since she loves working with kids and helping people.

Ms. Zeigler

Ms. Zeigler is in her 16th year of teaching at Seneca. She currently teaches honors World Cultures, Psychology, Modern Wars, and Constitutional Law. She is the advisor for Seneca's chapter of Active Minds (a national organization dedicated to reducing stigma around mental illness), History Club, and the Bird's Eye View. When she's not at Seneca, Ms. Zeigler is usually spending quality time with her 4 kids, 3 cats, and 1 husband. Writing is one of her outlets, and her interest in journalism dates back to her days in Journalistic Writing class at Shawnee and then writing for The Daily Targum at Rutgers.

Mrs. Lambusta

Mrs. Lambusta has been teaching at Seneca for 16 years. She currently teaches English II. In addition to being the assistant advisor for the newspaper, she is also the assistant advisor for the yearbook club, and she co-advises our school’s GSA. Mrs. Lambusta loves the outdoors where she spends much of her time gardening, going on long walks or taking in the salty sea air of LBI--all of which she enjoys with her ten-year-old son, Liam.
