• REQUIREMENTS:

Notes:

• This meeting was basically a review of what went on during the first meeting.

• We also stressed about paying your fees, filling out the membership form, dress code for convention, and signing up for the events you would like to compete in at convention.

• Service hours: boo bash (give candy and halloween decorations for hours), School Supplies drive until October 9 

• Make sure to fill out the form in google classroom, 

• 10 hours by December 

• Give back Night at Baskin Robbins October 7!!

• Pay fees by October 15 (can not sell chocolate unless fee is paid. 

• Can only get box of chocolate during 5,8, Pride, or before or after school

• Regionals is at the UL Student Union (Sign up in GG Classroom) 

• Choose what events you want on the form, Find out about event by searching about study tips and the topic on the FBLA National Website 

• INDUCTION OCTOBER 22 @ 6 PM

  • Mandatory for all new members and executive committee

  • Sock Drive is still going on! Donate two pairs for one hour 

  • Next month's service opportunity is donating items for the nursing home (Socks, Slippers, blankets, crossword puzzles, anything you think people in nursing homes would enjoy) 

  • Little Lambs 10-12 people can sign up 9am-3pm December 13. Sign up will be posted on google classroom! 

• Fundraisers: 

  • Smalls (ON BERTRAND DRIVE) Giveback night! November 19 (10am-10pm) Mention LHS FBLA 

  • Starting Nov. 29-Dec. 19 we will be doing moneydolly. Follow the steps on google classroom to create an account and start sharing with people!

  • Coach K still has chocolate that you can sell! Go to her classroom to pick up a box!

  • Keep up to date with the new LHS FBLA Newsletter!! 

  • Sign up for the POTLUCK Next week so we can enjoy food together before thanksgiving!! You can only eat if you bring something!

• Regionals Information

  • If you do NOT want to participate in Regionals please email Coach K

  • Testing will be held Monday, 1/12 - Thursday, 1/15 in rooms 218, 220, and 221

  • the testing schedule will be posted on Friday, it is ultimately YOUR responsibility to check what day you will be testing

  • The Regional Conference will be January 29, from 7am-3pm at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Union

  • Transportation will be available TO the Student Union IF you fill out the form posted in Google Classroom

  • Transportation will not be available once the conference is over, so you MUST have a ride for 3pm

  • Lunch will be provided at the cafeteria in the Student Union

  • Probation emails will be sent out this week (please disregard any emails about probation sent over break)

  • Just a reminder for SENIORS, if you want a cord for graduation, you must have all 20 hours by April

  • Second semester hours for everyone else will be due May 4

  • St. Joseph’s Donation Drive: January 7-26, donate MEN’S hygiene products and LARGE or X-LARGE MEN’S clothing

  • Freddy’s Give Back Night: January 12, 4pm-8pm, located on Bertrand

  • All executive committee members and freshmen representatives

  • If you have all of your first semester hours, you have the opportunity to come

  • If you went last year, you will NOT be able to come again

• What FBLA will look like until the State Conference

  • Study meetings: every Tuesday until 3:30pm, starting NEXT WEEK, January 13

  • Mardi Gras Potluck: February 10 in cafeteria, must sign up

  • Chocolate Fundraiser: we still have about 40 boxes left, so if you would like a box, please contact Julissa

  • MAKE SURE you have a ride at the Student Union at 3:00 PM, there will NOT be a bus to bring you back to school

  • Be sure that you are on the remind, this is how we will communicate

  • If you are riding the bus in the morning, meet in the auditorium when you first arrive to school

  • There is ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING, everyone should either be riding the morning bus or have a parent drop you off

  • Students performing MUST bring their ID, you will not be able to present without it

  • If you need a refresher on dress code, refer to the slideshow

  • Make sure you have a signed Regionals packet to return ASAP
