LAFAYETTE HIGH SCHOOL
F B L A
F B L A
FBLA's mission is to prepare our next generation of students to become better leaders and business professionals while preparing our students for the workforce.
FBLA gives students the opportunity to compete in a variety of events from Accounting and Financial Math all the way to Insurance and Risk Management, and is broken up into various objective test, speaking, and presentation events.
It is an amazing opportunity to network with peers from other cities, states, and even other parts of the world as we compete on a regional, state, and national level, so if you have a small business or would just like to create connections with like-minded peers, FBLA is an amazing way to do so.
Our testing events are also beneficial for students to learn how to navigate the real world, and at our conferences, we have mentors ready to help you navigate your future. On a local level, our FBLA chapter has been one of the most prominent chapters in the nation, and we have even ranked 7th in the nation. Helping out at our bake sales and participating in things like our school supply drives is a great way to get involved in our community, and can even help you gain close friendships and connections within our school.
We are the largest club on campus, so the sky's the limit. FBLA isn't solely based on the selling-buying model that many local businesses have, it can apply to everything you do, no matter the career pathway you choose after highschool. If you are interested in creating your own business, FBLA also has many resources for starting, and a network of small business creators that can help you navigate that path.
Students also have the opportunity to showcase their businesses at our national conference, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas this year. It's a notable extracurricular for you to put on college applications, and is a great demonstration of your leadership. You also have the opportunity to get multiple awards. We are so excited that you are interested in joining this year, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
