Mrs. Hamill's Bio

About Mrs. Hamill: I love learning and working with middle school students! So much so that teaching has been my continual joy since I finished college in 1980! I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education and hold a CDE endorsement in Gifted Education and English. My family knows that in my never-ending search for new learning, encouraging students to do the same is my passion. Together, my family loves learning and exploring many unique areas of life. My husband is an artist, my son plays drums in a Denver jazz band and sings in a dinner theater in his spare time while working in the tech industry, my daughter-in-law is a lab scientist at University Hospital, my daughter followed in my footsteps as a middle school teacher, and my son-in law is a financial adviser. The last two play in the Bronco Brass Band at Mile High Stadium on home football games. The other part of life that brings us great joy is our 3 year-old grandson, and we are expecting our 2nd grandchild in October. I love organic gardening, being out-of-doors, music, and reading. Our family loves to hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski and spend time together regularly.

Vision:

My goal is to encourage students and staff as they actively seek new learning opportunities, use technology, think critically, collaborate, and innovate, each and every day.
