Stephen Fink

Stephen Fink is a half-time counselor, half-time teacher with LPSD. He has lived in Newhalen for six years, and currently lives there with his wife and daughter. In the summer he fishes commercially in Bristol Bay. On his off time he enjoys running, skiing, hunting, reading, and hanging out with friends and family.

Tim Welch

Tim Welch is the full-time counselor. Tim was with LPSD from 2015-2020 and lived in Port Heiden. He currently lives in Idaho where he works with students and staff via the internet. He family misses Alaska, but glad he gets a chance to work with LPSD from afar. Tim and his wife, Kari have Grace (6 1/2) and Golden (2 1/2). Tim and his family love to play games, get outside, watching movies and cooking.
