Vivaldi 3-minute listening and drawing activity.
We are working on a piece called Vivaldi School Year, arranged by Carrie Lane Gruselle. Vivaldi's piece, Four Seasons, inspires this orchestral piece. We listened to the movement Winter and drew whatever came to our minds. Below are the results.

I am asking the students to start practicing. The hardest part is building the habit that they need to come after school and pick up their instrument. I ask students to practice 5 days a week and at least 15 minutes each day. That seems very little but a little bit every day is very effective. Practicing can be more than just playing their instrument. It can be writing in note names, or fingerings, it can be practicing note reading using musictheory.net, or it can be listening to the pieces we are playing. Any questions please let me know.
There are a few fees for orchestra class this year.
Orchestra Polo Shirt- $18
Orchestra Method Book-
School Instrumental Rental- $75. This is a fee for any student using a school instrument. Cellos and basses mainly with a few violins/violas. The fee helps maintain the instruments with repairs.
