South Valley Middle School has a long-standing orchestra program within the Liberty Public Schools. Parker Stanley has been at South Valley now for 10 years. Our mission is to instill an appreciation of music. The orchestra is a team that works towards a common goal.

Parker Stanley is in his 12th year teaching, working in Newton, Kansas before coming to South Valley. He grew up in the Liberty School District, graduating in 2003. He has received his Master's in Cello Performance from the University of Iowa and has performed with groups like the Geoffry Ballet, Wichita Opera, and Dubuque Symphony. He performed a cello solo with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra as well as performed in several chamber music ensembles.

Parker has been teaching since high school, beginning with teaching cello lessons for A+ hours. He has taught for camps like Credo Music Festival, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and NASAW organization. He is glad to be back in Liberty to work at South Valley Middle School.
