LMS Junior Thespians

In order to be qualified for a lifetime Junior Thespian membership, students must attend a school with an active Junior Thespian troupe and must complete a specified amount of work in theatre arts. Seventeen dollars will be required for every student who wishes and is eligible to be inducted. Also troupes may choose to have additional pay with their own decision. After induction, students in the Junior Thespian Society could earn additional honors with any work done. Most commonly, benefits of being in Junior Thespian end after eighth grade. Students previously in Junior Thespian Society will enter high school with half the points needed to be inducted.

The International Thespian Society is an honor society for theatre arts students; it is not a secret society or club. The troupe constitution and all membership requirements must be readily available to any interested parties, and all troupe proceedings are subject to the rules and oversight of the school administration.

ITS keeps a permanent record of each student’s induction. Junior Thespian point records are kept at the troupe level. Correspondence with the National Office should be directed through the troupe director whenever possible.

Thespian Society is a student inducted club. First, to be considered for Thespians, you have to have a number of required points. Each theater activity gives you a certain amount of points.
