God has richly blessed this effort, and we are making strong progress. In just the past year we’ve received Synod approval to prepare construction documents, engaged our architect & engineering firm, selected our general contractor, and secured city permit approval. We expect final construction documents by year’s end. At the same time, generous gifts, including an unexpected blessing of a $3,000,000 commitment in this quiet phase have already brought us to about 50% of our project goal. Once we reach 70% of funding, we’ll be able to announce the timing of groundbreaking and launch the public phase of the campaign, inviting the wider WELS family to join us in finishing the race strong.
