The Lincoln Public School Music Extension Programs* serve as an intentional expansion of the district’s core instrumental and vocal curricula. All students who wish to participate must be enrolled in the Lincoln Public Schools District for 5 credits or the equivalent of one class for each semester of participation.
Select ensembles may have additional requirements for participation which can be found through their eligibility guidelines.
Families with students in private school or homeschool must be registered as such with the Nebraska Department of Education and complete the LPS part-time enrollment form.
*LPS Music Extension Programs: All-CityGirls Chorus, Lincoln Junior Youth Orchestra, Lincoln Youth Symphony, Los Mariachis de la Ciudad Estrella, LPS Gospel Choir, PANgea (Steel Drum), PANgea Prep (Steel Drum), Western African Drumming Ensemble, and Youth Ensemble of Strings.
