Week of 5/17 is A/B. Important End Of Year Info and Materials Drop Dates
First Semester of 8th Grade Math is a bridge to Algebra 1. We will work with Rational Numbers, Equations and Inequalities, and Functions (graphing lines). The most important job students have in this course is working toward understanding and fluency. It is imperative that each student communicate with Ms Summers whenever a concept feels like it isn't making sense. It is also important that students (or their parents) reach out if the workload feels unreasonable. Reasonable is 30-40 minutes of independent work in Connexus per day, 45 minutes in Dreambox per week, and the synchronous meeting times with the class and Ms Summers. Ms Summers will solicit input every 2 to 3 weeks to gauge the workload and how the overall structure of the class is working for students. Do not hesitate to reach out in between those checks to share feedback.
Please note: All announcements, meets, and access to notes will be on the landing page in Connexus. Students should visit the course daily and be sure to take attendance (form on landing page) daily.
Together we can Own it, Practice respect, and Support one another!
