In Geometry and Geometry Honors, we will work together to examine and prove spatial phenomenon. We will use definitions and attributes to determine measurements and solve problems. Embedded within Geometry is a review of algebra in the form of solving equations and using coordinate geometry (graphing). Students are encouraged to seek sensemaking and understanding and to ask questions and share their thinking as a way of processing this understanding and developing mastery of the content. This course is aligned to the scope and sequence being followed at the three comprehensive high schools in order to ensure a seamless transition back to the home high school or onto the next course in fall 2021.
