Why I Teach:
I believe that studying history can help us avoid mistakes that have happened in the past, make progress in the future, and understand people with different perspectives. I love to understand varying perspectives and lead students in nuanced conversations. I want to make history interesting and exciting by connecting it to the present.
What Makes Me a Warrior:
I am a proud graduate of the Class of 2009! I am excited to be back at Arapahoe. To me, being a Warrior means creating a sense of belonging, community, and taking pride in what I do. At AHS, I find this with my colleagues, students, and activities around campus.
About me
I am thrilled to be rejoining the Littleton Public Schools community for my 12th year of teaching! I am a proud graduate of Arapahoe (Class of '09!). I moved to NYC to teach after studying history at American University in Washington, DC. After completing a teaching program with the NYC Teaching Fellows, I earned Masters Degrees in Adolescent Special Education and Educational Leadership from Hunter College. Outside of teaching, you can probably find me outside; I enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, tennis, and skiing.
