About Our Learning This Year:

We will uncover the past, discover who WE are, question the world around us and apply our knowledge to the future and all of its possibilities!  Social Studies is the study of humans - history, geography, civics & economics! 

More About Me:

I got married in October of 2019 in Golden, CO!  My husband, Mike and I have a a cat (Grizz).  We live in the mountains near Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater - it's beautiful!  We welcomed our first child, Quinn, in July of 2022!! 

Certification:  

I am certified in English Language Arts and Social Studies content. Previously, I taught 8th grade Language Arts & Honors Language Arts for 8 years.  I also taught 7th grade Social Studies for 7 years, before moving to 6th grade Humanities (Since 2021).  I am a certified Yoga Instructor and use yoga and mindfulness as tools in class.

College: 

I attended The University of Pittsburgh and earned an Undergraduate Degree in English Literature with a minor in Communications & Social Studies.  Then, I continued my studies at Duquesne University, where I earned my Master of Science in Education degree. So, yes - I LOVE SCHOOL and have dedicated my life to learning and teaching <3.
