Hi! I’m Dayna Kohn and I’m thrilled to be the school counselor for Dr. Justina Ford Elementary School.  With 20 years experience as a coach, teacher and school counselor, I am passionate and committed to developing the whole child, supporting a collaborative approach involving students, staff, parents and community.  

After eleven years in the classroom, I felt a calling to  support students in a more focused, specialized way.  My strengths of connecting with students and helping them navigate challenges led me to pursue a Masters in Counseling.  I support an approach that advocates for all children and promotes students advocating for themselves.  

Outside of school, I am mom to a fiery redhead teenager that keeps me on my toes.  We enjoy hitting the slopes together during the winter and hiking beautiful Colorado mountains the rest of the year.  The other member of our household is Ollie, our silver lab who is a fabulous pet! Sadly, Ollie has made it clear that he does not want to be a therapy dog.
