My name is is Kelli Gunn, and I am so excited to be your 2nd grade teacher this year! This is my 14th year of teaching. I have previously taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and was also a STEAM & Instructional TOSA before moving to Colorado. Some of my passions include incorporating technology, Depth & Complexity icons as well as infusing STEAM into the classroom.

I was born in Texas and moved to California as a child. I played Varsity tennis in high school. Once I entered college, I followed in my mom's footsteps and became an educator. I earned my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction as well as my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University, Bakersfield. I have a six-year old son and a fifteen-month old daughter... both whom I love so much! Eight years ago, I completed my 1st half-marathon in Santa Cruz. I've run a few more half-marathons since then. My favorite was running the Nike Women's half-marathon in San Francisco since I'm a huge Nike fan! Now that I'm in Colorado, I've become a a fan of snowboarding! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my loving husband and kiddos, reading, traveling, being active, and baking!
