Open Enrollment Information
Open Enrollment began on Thursday, October 1st
If you are a family that the boundaries have changed for, you must fill out an OE form, if you would like to stay at Runyon. You will be notified the first week of Dec. if your OE has been accepted. Please go to the District Website to find the boundary information, OE Forms and all Open Enrollment Guidelines. The forms must be brought to the school and dropped off. IMPORTANT: As a clarification to the LPS website's comment of "no in person drop off will be accepted" forms should STILL be dropped off at school, but forms will be placed in a basket outside in a contactless format.
If you are already OE here at Runyon, you also must fill out an Intent to Renew and you may do that as soon as Oct. 1. The sooner the better.
Open Enrollment Reminders
Open enrollment applications must be returned directly to the school. All open enrollment requests must be approved before students can be registered.
Existing open enrolled students, resident and non-resident, wanting to continue at the same school next year must complete an "Intent to Renew" form. Intent to Renew is due no later than January 8th. This form is available on the district website starting October 1, 2020. Families are encouraged to complete and return the Intent to Renew form at the earliest possible date.
Existing open enrolled elementary and middle school students who will be moving to a different school (5th-6th grade or 8th-9th grade transition) must complete a new open enrollment application.
Parents are responsible for providing transportation for open enrolled students. District transportation may be provided when space is available on established bus routes. To see if bus transportation may be available, please visit the Bus Transportation Page on the district website and complete an online “space availability” form. Keep in mind that space available transportation requests may not be processed until October.
Please Use the Crosswalk!
Before and after school we have had parents and children crossing the street without using the crosswalk. The safety of families at Runyon is extremely important and our crossing guards jobs are to make sure that everyone gets on and off of school property safely.

What is Membership ToolKit? - Runyon PTO will be using Membership Toolkit again this year for our school directory, store for making purchases, and volunteer opportunities.

Pick Up Procedures
Parents if you are picking your child up after school in our "Hug and Go" lane, please have your laminated sign, that has your child's name on it, on your dashboard. If you don't have one, please let us know.
No Dogs on School Property
Please remember that dogs are not allowed on school property during school hours. We have many children with allergies and animals can be unpredictable when there are many people surrounding them. This is also a District policy.
If you do bring your dogs to school—after school hours—please be sure to pick up after them. We have seen an increase in our furry friends leaving little "surprises" around the school grounds. We are planning on getting signs to remind all folks who visit our school grounds to please pick up after their furry friends.
Thank you!
