First-time volunteers must be set up as an LPS volunteer in advance. LPS will complete a background check which will take a few days to process, so we encourage people to complete this step as soon as they know they'd like to volunteer. Volunteers can sign in or create an account here.
Powell Middle School’s PTO is ALWAYS looking for volunteers. Whether you have a little or a lot of extra time available, we can use your help! From PTO positions to volunteering at school or special events, we have many opportunities to get involved on-site and at home. Middle School PTO positions are not as demanding on your time or energy as elementary school PTO. We have fewer events and less time requirements so it is much easier and turnkey!
PTO Board Member: Want to see the workings of our school, help make decisions and get to know more families? Roles include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communication Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) Coordinator.

Teacher Cart Coordinator: Responsible for organizing monthly snacks in the teachers lounge.
Littleton Stride Captain: Help promote the Littleton Stride event within Powell and try to get as many Powell students/families to participate as possible. Volunteers may organize a Powell tent at the event with refreshments for our Powell team.
Fund Run Co-Chair: Work with our Fundraising Chair to plan/organize PTO’s annual fundraiser in September. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and involves: organizing and promoting the run to students and the community; collecting and tracking all donations; and planning incentives and prizes for students.
