Hello and welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am Mr. Zerucha and I will be your 8th grade Language Arts teacher. This website, along with Google Classroom, will help you stay organized and navigate this class. Before you begin exploring, here is just a bit about me:
I was born and raised not too far from here in Lakewood, Colorado. I attended The University of Colorado at Boulder and earned my degrees in Communication and Secondary English Education and continued to complete my student teaching at Columbine High School. Following my student teaching semester, I decided to branch out and move to Arizona with two of my best friends. I lived in Scottsdale, AZ in 2018 and taught 9th grade English at Chaparral High School. While I enjoyed the experience there, it was short lived as I missed Colorado too much to stay. I moved back here in June of 2019 and accepted a job at Goddard. I have loved teaching at Goddard for the past five years and feel so blessed to work at such a special school.
My husband and I enjoy travelling and exploring new places in Colorado and beyond. I love to dance (ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary) and to hangout with friends and family...including my 7 year old niece, Ariyah and 18 month old nephew, Owen. I am so excited to be back in the classroom and begin my eighth year of teaching at Goddard!
