Classroom Policies

Masks

Students are required to wear a mask everyday. Include your child's name on the mask and provide an extra mask in your student's backpack. Students may wear a lanyard for holding their masks at school.

Communication

You can always leave a message for me at the school office, write me a note, or e-mail me at cmacklem@lps.k12.co.us. I will check for messages at the end of the school day.

Chromebooks

Students will bring their Chromebooks home daily. It is required that Chromebooks are charged each night and brought to school every day. It is also important to sign out and shut down to update the device.

Birthday Celebrations

Your child's birthday is special, and we want to celebrate! If your child would like to celebrate, please bring one non-edible birthday treat per classmate or donate your child's favorite book to the classroom library. Birthday treat suggestions may include bookmarks, bouncy balls, erasers, jewelry, pencils, pencil tops, etc. NO GOODY BAGS! Due to student allergies, please do not bring candy, cookies, or cupcakes. Thanks!

Healthy Snacks

Students can bring two single-serving healthy ready-to-eat snacks for the snack stretch breaks. Healthy snack suggestions are cheese sticks, crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, popcorn, pretzels, veggies, and yogurt, Due to student allergies, please do not bring healthy snacks that contain nuts or manufactured with nut products.

Water Bottles

Water bottles are allowed. The students must fill the spill-proof water bottle prior to coming to school. The water bottle needs to be labeled with your child's name and have a non-removable cap lid. If the water bottle has a straw, please be sure that the straw can be completely covered when not in use.

Classroom Supplies

Your child should only bring the items that are on the Supply List or requested by the school staff, in addition, to their lunch box and water bottle to school. No other items should be brought from home to have in their backpack or desk.
