Hello 1st grade families! I am so excited to meet your child and your family! 

I've been with the LPS family for for a long time! My two grown  children, Cody and Danielle, attended Ralph Moody Elementary (Now called Little Raven), Goddard then graduated from LHS. 

 I've been at Wilder for 20 years teaching mostly 1st grade. I love the excitement for learning that first graders have and watching them grow! 

I would like to take this opportunity to

 welcome you and your child back to Wilder for another school year. For those who are new to our school community I would like to extend a special welcome. 

 I am very excited about the year ahead!  The students and I will work hard together over this next school year where the joy of learning will be our major focus!  Your child learned so much last year, and I want to build on that knowledge. I look forward to all that the students and I will experience together.

I value and believe:

• In educating the whole child. When a child feels safe, happy and secure in the classroom their learning will come naturally!  Creating a caring environment for my students is a top priority!  

• That teamwork with my first grade teammates, the Wilder staff, and especially with parents is essential to ensure that all students receive a quality education. 

• That all students have unique talents and personalities and that differentiation of instruction is essential. I believe that student performance is enhanced by using many teaching strategies. 

• That home/school communication is an important link to learning success.
