Week of 9/25
Hello Families,
I hope you are all able to enjoy the nice weather this weekend! It is definitely starting to feel more like fall each day.
Our week at a glance:
Literacy - practicing identifying, reading, and writing words with the cvc, cvvc, cv, and cvce spelling patterns
Math - Started our word problems unit with a focus on using the part-part-whole model to help write an equation that would match the word problem, solving the problem by showing their thinking with a picture, and labeling their answer with the correct units
Writing - finished writing a personal narrative with a beginning, middle, and ending
Science/Social Studies - Explored and examined objects around the classroom to identify what they may be made out of and used adjectives to describe these objects
Fun Run:
The Fun Run is almost here and it is happening this coming Friday, October 3rd! We will be running and participating in it during our special time (12:15 - 1:00). If you would like to join us, you are more than welcome to. Please keep in mind that anyone who joins will need to park in one of our school parking lots or the church lot. There is NO parking on the streets or in the surrounding neighborhoods. Attached is a flyer from Mr. Mac providing some more details around this fun event.

Our 2nd grade music performance will be here before we know it! We will be performing on October 28th at 6pm. Direct Giving Campaign:
Wilder PTO's annual Direct Giving Campaign has officially begun! Wilder PTO's Direct Giving goal this year is $55,000 with 100% participation. No gift is too small (or too large). Direct Giving funds support Wilder students, teachers, and staff and help make Wilder Elementary so special.
