Students should check in to Google classroom for details, docs, additional attachments about what we did in class.

At each level, students will apply language skills to contextual themes throughout the year. In French 3 some themes may include:

L’Art

Objetive: Je peux parler de l’importance de l’art

Essential Question: Quelle est la définition de l’art? Pourquoi l’art est important à moi ?

Unit Overview: How to discuss art, introduction to various art forms and artists. Cultural perspectives on art forms and how it may vary from culture to culture.

Au Restaurant

Objetive: Je peux parler de la cuisine et ce que j’aime manger le plus.

Essential Question: Comment est-ce que la cuisine représente la culture?

Unit Overview: How to discuss dining, food, and its importance, introduction to formal dining and cuisine. Cultural perspectives on cuisine and how it may vary from culture to culture.

L’Environnement

Objetive: Je peux parler des points importants dans l’environnement.

Essential Question: Pourquoi protéger l’environnement? Quels sont les problèmes de l’environnement dans le monde ?

Unit Overview: How to discuss the environment and environmental concerns facing the planet. Cultural perspectives on what environmental issues are of concern and how it may vary from country to country.

La Santé

Objetive: Je peux parler de ma santé, et comment rester en forme.

Essential Question: Qu’est-ce que je fais pour rester en forme? Quel est le probleme de santé le plus important qui touche aux adolescents aujourd’hui ?

Unit Overview:Parts of the body, illness and health, health issues that face the world today. Cultural perspectives on how health issues impact daily life and vary from culture to culture.
