Goddard PTO

WELCOME BACK!! We hope your student has had a smooth transition into the 2022-2023 school year!

The Goddard PTO is always looking for volunteers, whether it is a couple hours in the school store or holding a committee/board position. If you have time in your schedule, please reach out...or attend a monthly meeting to find out more. Meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 9:30am.

Upcoming Events:

  • 10/6 - PTO Meeting

  • 10/11 - Chipotle Night (Broadway/Littleton Blvd)

  • 10/17-20 - Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • 10/26 - 6th grade Fall Festival

  • 10/30 - LPSF Stride

With cooler weather on the way, now is the time to purchase your Goddard Spirit wear! Purchase a t-shirt or warm hoodie and support your school. Go Vikings! The online store is only open until October 3. A portion of each purchase will go directly back to the school.

The Goddard FUNd Run was a huge success!! $50,000 was raised!!! We would like to especially thank Libi Toroslu and Allison Henry for all of their planning!

We are planning on hosting the 6th Grade Fall Festival at the end of October. The kids have really loved this event...so keep an eye out for details!

Hopefully we will see you at our monthly meetings! WE all want to make Goddard the best it can be.

Thank you!

Annual Goddard Gallup FUNdRUN

Wednesday, September 14, 2022

Mark you calendars for the 2022 Goddard Gallop Fund Run! Last year was a huge success. You raised over $45,000!! Can we raise even more this year? 100% of your donations went directly back to the school in funding teacher grants. Our teachers and students are very excited to see changes across the school. Thank you for your donations - they mean so much! See pictures below of some items bought with grants you have funded.

Please check back on ways you can help!

Teacher Testimonials

6th Grade Language Arts:

"The 6th grade language arts teachers used the grant money to publish individual anthologies for each of the 6th graders. They got to write their own poetry, journals, and stories and then illustrate their pieces. Each student will be able to keep this 20-page, color book to remember their historic 6th grade year."

7th Grade Math:

Geoboards - Great for kinesthetic learning (graphing lines, plotting coordinates)

8th Grade Math:

Interactive Flat Panel - Great for students to present their thinking to the class!

PTO - As always, I am humbled and grateful for all the support you give students, teachers, and everyone at Goddard. With this year's teacher grant I purchased 24 charging cords for 6th grader computers. Due to the district's budget constraints, 6th graders received some older Chromebooks. Not only that, but there are three different types each requiring a different type of charger. Our 6th grade teachers were having difficulty helping students keep their computers going for the day so the chargers were a lifesaver. Thank you very much.
