SACC Activities

Large Motor

Large motor activities include gym and playground time. We offer 30 minutes or more of large motor activities during the school year, and 60 minutes or more during the summer.

Field Trips

On teacher in-service days and during the summer, we may go on field trips several times a week. These field trips include swimming pools, museums, and local parks.

Manipulatives

The power of using manipulatives is that they let the student connect mathematical ideas and symbols to physical objects. We have an abundance of manipulatives including blocks, Legos, Lincoln logs, and many more.

Arts and Crafts

Art materials are always available for children to us. We always markers, colored pencils, crayons, paper, and scissors out for use. We plan several craft projects though out each season.

Cooking Club

Not only is cooking an important life skill, it promotes a healthy lifestyle and allows children to practice their math, art, and small motor skills. Of course, eating your piece of art is always fun, too!

Cooking club is held several times a month during summer SACC.

Games

Board games are important for a child's mental and social development, concentration, and creative development. Our games help develop skills like decision making, social interaction, and critical thinking.
