Bienvenidos

about me

I live in the area and have had two children learn from educators in this amazing school district.  I have a Master’s degree in Spanish and Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Wyoming.  As an undergraduate I studied abroad in Puebla, Mexico and after completing my graduate degree, my husband and I lived and worked in Santiago, Chile.  We spent time traveling through Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Uruguay before returning to the United States to settle down in Centennial, CO.

The Spanish language and culture are my passion and I love sharing that energy with my students.  Spanish is the official language of 20 countries and the US Territory of Puerto Rico and is second only to Chinese as the most spoken language in the world.  There is much to discover in studying and learning about these countries!

I hope to inspire my students to discover how special and interesting our differences are. Together we will seek to gain a better understanding of other cultures, practices and perspectives while also taking risks to speak, comprehend, write and read Spanish.

Why should we learn spanish?
