I am very excited to be joining the Ford team this year! This will be my sixth year teaching all of which has been in 3rd grade.

I grew up in Colorado in the beautiful town of Golden. After high school I attended Colorado State University and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. I had a successful career in the design field for 18 years, but I was not passionate about design. For years I had been kicking myself for not following my passion and getting a teaching degree. After I left my design career I opened a daycare in my home and cared for babies and toddlers for five years. I enjoyed my time with them but still longed to be in the classroom. In 2018, I finally followed my dream and went back to school to get my teaching license and Masters in Elementary Education. I completed my program through the University of Northern Colorado and am loving the fulfillment of my lifelong dream to teach!

My husband, Tony, and I have been married for 23 years and have three beautiful children. Our daughter, Libby, is 21 and will be a senior at the University of Northern Colorado this year pursuing a degree in Psychology. Our oldest son, Thomas, is 18 and will be a freshman at Aims Community College pursuing a Professional Pilot degree. Our youngest son, Joseph, is 15 and will be a sophomore at Mountain Vista High School. We also have a 3 year old Goldendoodle named Hattie. We love to spend time in the mountains and enjoy exploring our beautiful state on ATV trails.

In my free time I enjoy crafting, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
