By joining the club you agree to the rules attached.

Quizbowl Rules

These rules are to be followed at all times unless stated otherwise, as Quizbowl club members should reflect the values of the club.

1. No chromebooks/phones(minus packet reading/buzzing) during practice. 

2. Don’t be a jerk and be a decent person, don’t bully, blackmail, harass, and/or impersonate others, no racism/homophobia and related things will be tolerated.

3. Don’t be disruptive during meetings & on club-used platforms (Discord, QB Reader, BuzzinLive). You should not be spamming or saying anything that is not okay. Your username should not contain anyone else’s name or username, and you should not be making any claims/spreading misinformation about others or impersonating them.

4. Don’t make jokes about atrocities and people who committed them (this should be very obvious).

5.  If somebody tells you that what you’re doing is not cool and asks you to stop, then stop.

These rules are not only Quizbowl club rules but also rules established in the school code of conduct, and things that the community expects from you.

We can tell if you’re trying to be clever (finding loopholes) and will be punished the same (partial names, code languages, etc.).

Even if you think something is a joke, it can be insulting or harmful to others or just not okay at all.

Infraction of the rules will result in disciplinary action, including removal from the next tournament (per offense) or the club depending on the severity of the offense and how many times it has happened in the past. HMS/district administrators will be contacted if necessary.
