Makerspace

Our MakerSpace in the Library Center inspires students to become participatory learners to uncover their talents, needs, and interests by making, producing, solving creating, collaborating and thinking.

The school library has slowly been adding to the Makerspace activities available to students. I am pleased to announce through many grants we have many great opportunities for students learn new skills and create.

Here are some of the things available:

Robots-We Do's, Edison, Ozobots, Kammigami, Mindstorm EV#

Coding-Lego coding, scratch, Code Mouse, Micro-bits etc..

Art-Flex tangles, Duct tape designing, 3D printing, Beading, Card making, materials to create projects, etc..

Circuitry-Little bits, Squishy Circuits, Makey, Makey's, etc..

Building/Structure Designing: Kev blocks, magnetic blocks, Lego's, straw-bees, etc....

Break-it station: Taking apart and putting together items that are broken.

Video-Stop motion videos, Bloxels(video game design)

All students will have a Makerspace Journal to record their projects, learning's and questions throughout the year! I highly encourage you to make a visit to the library to see the Makerspace opportunities available to your child!
