Why are we checking out books to your child? Research shows that home language and literacy experiences lead to a child that is ready to read.
By reading to your child, he will:
- see and talk about print;
- develop a wide range of knowledge;
- learn as you model reading to him; and
- understand key concepts of reading.
Reading to your child benefits him in so many ways. Enjoy this special time together!
