All Lake Park students will take the ACT during the spring of junior year. The ACT is provided free of charge by Lake Park high school and parents do NOT need to sign students up to take it. Families can choose for their student to take the ACT outside of school or if they would like their student to take the SAT they can sign them up for that as well. In this case families will need to sign the student up on their own and pay for the test(s) of their choice. Colleges that require test scores for entrance will accept either the ACT or SAT.

Test-Optional information
Many colleges are now test-optional, which means you can choose whether or not to send your test scores. Here are some useful websites to help you learn which schools are test-optional. Still not sure? You can always contact the college directly if you have any questions about their testing policy.
