League Presidents
Sarina Wang is the Co-President of the WBFL. She coaches the Harvard-Westlake Middle School Speech Team and teaches Public Speaking and Debate. In addition to her work at Harvard-Westlake, Sarina teaches at various community colleges, including Mt. San Antonio College, where she also serves as one of their speech coaches.
Co-President
Bob Ronne is the current Co-President for the WBFL. After retiring, Bob has spent the last nine years coaching all events for Speech and Debate at West High School, as well as assistant coaching their Academic Decathlon team in speech and interview.
Victor Jih is the VP of Debate for the WBFL. He coaches Lincoln-Douglas debate at Loyola High School. He previously coached at Brentwood School, Archer School, and Palo Alto High School. In his spare time, he is a litigation partner at Wilson Sonsini and the founding CEO of a fitness startup.
Dan Carter is a coach and teacher at Culver City High School. He has been a Debate coach for several decades. He has served as Treasurer and now the President of Congress in the WBFL.
James Zucker is the current Treasurer for the WBFL. James teaches and coaches at Loyola High School. He teaches AP US History and AP World History. He is the head Speech and Debate coach at Loyola where he also coaches and mentors the Novice LD team. James is also currently working on the curriculum committee for the CHSSA State Speech and Debate organization.
