Here are some links to websites that are offering free learning opportunities. Some may require a user name and password. If your child does not remember his or her password, please email me (krisstites@lowndes.k12.ga.us) and I will send it to you.

Georgia Public Broadcasting

  • Has links to lessons and videos based on grade level and topic.


Kids A-Z

  • English Language Learners can listen, read, and record stories.

  • Requires username and password and ESOL teacher approval.

Arcademics

  • Mostly math games, but has some English Language Arts, Typing, and Geography

  • Some games are free, and others are offered in a paid version.

Khan Academy

  • Online learning and instruction with practice problems.

  • Parents can create user names and passwords to track their child's learning; or if you need help, email me and I will help you set it up.

Mystery Science

Audible

  • Some of the stories are free.

  • PLEASE be careful about which book you choose, this is an Amazon website.

Get Epic

  • Students can access their account through Clever, or send me an email request with a parent email address. I will send a parent invite through Get Epic, which will allow the parent to finish setting up the child's account.

  • Parents will be able to monitor what their child reads and watches.

Newsela

  • 2nd - 5th grade reading, science, and social studies articles (some are in Spanish)

Imagine Learning

  • This is for English Language Learners and requires the ESOL teacher approval.

  • Requires a pretest. (Please let students complete the pretest on their own. If someone helps, it may put the student at a more difficult level).
