Welcome to Third Grade: The Happiest Classroom on Earth! 🏰✨

Hello and welcome to our third-grade family! My name is Dwan Broomberg, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your child’s guide for this incredible year ahead. This is my 22nd year of teaching, and I can tell you that the magic of watching students learn and grow never fades.

As a big believer in making education an unforgettable adventure, I like to think of our classroom a lot like a trip to Walt Disney World.

🎢 Our Classroom Philosophy: The Magical Adventure

If you’ve ever been to Disney, you know it’s a place where imagination runs wild, everyone is welcome, and there is a sense of wonder around every corner. That is exactly what I want for our classroom this year. Here is how our journey connects:

Every Student Has a "FastPass" to Success: Just like at the parks, we all move at different paces, and we might take different paths to get to the ride. In this room, every student’s unique style of learning is celebrated. We will support each other so everyone reaches the front of the line!
Mistakes are Just "Glitchy Audio" on Space Mountain: Sometimes, things don't go perfectly on a trip, and that’s okay! In our classroom, mistakes aren't failures—they are just a part of the adventure. We laugh, we learn, we adjust, and we keep moving forward.
The Magic Happens When We Work Together: Disney isn't magical just because of the castle; it’s magical because of the people. Our classroom is a team. We lift each other up, celebrate each other's wins, and treat one another with kindness and respect.
Instilling a Love of Learning: My ultimate goal as your teacher is to make our lessons so engaging and joyful that your student can't wait to come back "to the park" every single day.
